So you know they're getting what they need. High protein. Real meat. No fillers. Balanced for kittens.
Every kitten is different. Use our guide as a starting point, then adjust based on your kitten's weight and energy.
They should feel kind of like pencils under a blanket.
From above, you should see an indent behind the ribs. From the side, a slight tummy tuck upwards.
If their belly sags, touch it. A loose flap when walking is normal. If it's firm and sagging, adjust their portions.
95%+ real meat. Complete and balanced for all life stages, including kittens. So there's no need to switch when they grow up either.
Kittens need food that is a high quality protein (fresh meat), good fats and with healthy levels of omega oils, calcium and taurine for their growth and development. CatChi is one of the highest protein foods, includes real whole ingredients and is everything your kitten needs. See our recipes for detailed information.
Typically a kitten's rate of growth starts to slow at 9 months before they become an official adult at 12 months. Review our feeding guides to find out how much you should be serving your loved one.
We don't recommend kibble as a good option for kittens, it is high in carbohydrates and low in moisture. Kittens need protein, fat and water for their growth and development.
Kittens have smaller stomachs than adult cats, so their size and age will determine some of this. Once they've finished their weaning (8 weeks) you'll typically be feeding them 3 times per day.
This depends on a few factors, mainly their age, size, activity levels and expected weight as an adult cat. Kittens need a proportionally larger number of calories than an adult cat of the same size. See our feeding guides for detailed information.
No, our food is perfectly balanced for all life stages.
